I am getting this error "Temporary directory (--tmp-dir) fails with '_file path_': No such file or directory" Is there anything I can do?

This error occurs when the username of your Windows account username contains special or unusual characters, such as Russian characters.

Solutions

Uninstall your current OpenVPN version. Download the latest OpenVPN verison.

All done!

The error message should not appear again. Try reconnecting to OVPN.
