The desktop client can be run with both the default white look, as well as a dark mode where bright colors are replaced with darker hue. This can be useful if you're using the client at night to avoid bright colors in a dark environment, or if you just prefer a darker-looking desktop to avoid eye strain.
To activate dark mode, go to Settings > General and activate Dark Mode.
